Hong Tuyen has 19 years of architectural experience and is the Executive Director at RSP Vietnam. With a Bachelor of Architecture from Hanoi Architecture University (2005) and a Master of Business Administration from the French-Vietnamese Center for Management (CFVG) (2012), Tuyen has been instrumental in leading the team since joining RSP.

She has extensive experience in both domestic and international projects. Some of her notable and sustainable projects include Mulberry Lane, Tower 4CT1 & 4CT2, the Proposed Master Plan for Parkcity, Ha Long Star in Ha Long City for Limitless, the Master Plan for Tan Hoang Mai, Hanoi Aqua Center, Mixed-use development at E9 Pham Hung Street, and Go Mall in Thai Nguyen and Thai Binh.

Tuyen has had the honor of participating in two award-winning projects: Mulberry Lane, which received the National Architecture Award and Green Architecture Award in 2014, and Garrya, awarded the 2024 Asian’s Best Hospitality Architecture Design.

Tuyen’s work focuses on the efficient use of buildings, meeting green and sustainable design criteria, and bringing unique, creative solutions by learning from other RSP branches to projects in Vietnam. Under her care, she has built a dedicated and strong team under our Hanoi office, with a firm belief that collective strength is key to the company’s success. Constantly striving to achieve goals with hard work, rhythm, efficiency, and passion, she truly believes in adding value to life for the communities and society. For her, architecture is the quintessence of combining science, engineering, and art to create designs of distinctive value that impress and bring outstanding brands to Clients.

Tang Kai Vern is a key member of all the projects he is involved in and across all phases. Due to the breadth and depth of his experience, Kai Vern sees himself frequently involved in bid proposals and design competitions that RSP undertakes.

Kai Vern honed his skills in developing schemes through a wide range of local and international projects. He was a core team member for the competition-winning designs of $400 million Khoo Teck Phuat and $700 million Ng Teng Fong General Hospitals in Singapore, both of which he followed through from planning to completion. He was also involved in the design and development for the expansion of Bangladesh’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport that sees an annual passenger traffic of 16 million.

Kai Vern has been recognised for his contributions in many forums. He is a member of Singapore’s Building Construction Authority’s Young Leaders Programme, in which young professionals come together to share ideas for the betterment of the building and construction industry. In 2016, he was named one of the “15 Great Engineers and Architects aged 40 and under” by the Singapore Business Review. In 2017, Kai Vern was recognised in Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore’s prestigious “20 Under 45 Architects”.

Yeap Yoon Thong

Yeap Yoon Thong has more than 35 years of experience in various architectural projects. His diversified portfolio covers residential, education, sports and recreation, hospitality, industrial, offices and retail projects. Some of his major works include BCA Academic Tower, JCube, AEI for Tampines Mall, Lot One Shoppers’ Mall and the refurbishment of National Archives of Singapore. He also has experience in due diligence exercises for buildings requiring statutory and technical assessments. Yoon Thong graduated from Malaysia Institute of Architects (Honourable Mention), and earned a Certificate (Interior Design) from LCE School of Arts and Design in Singapore. He is also a certified Green Mark Manager and Universal Design Assessor.

Karen Trinio

With nearly two decades of experience, Karen Trinio brings an exceptional combination of financial expertise, operational strategy, and people-first leadership to her role as Director of Operations at RSP. She is the steady hand guiding the day-to-day rhythm of the Dubai studio, ensuring every detail from staffing and finance to IT systems and office culture, works in harmony to support the studio’s creative ambitions.

Karen’s journey with RSP began in 2009, at the height of the global recession. Today, she is a cornerstone of the Dubai office, one of its longest-serving and most trusted leaders, whose influence extends across every facet of the studio’s operations. Her leadership style is calm, compassionate, and thoughtful. She brings clarity and structure to complex operations, always balances efficiency with empathy. Her ability to streamline processes, manage resources wisely, and anticipate operational challenges has helped shape a studio that is not only agile and collaborative but also resilient.

Karen is especially respected for the culture she has helped foster, a workplace that feels inclusive, thoughtful, and empowering. She champions systems that allow people to thrive, and her decisions are always guided by the question: what’s best for the team? Under her leadership, the Dubai studio has grown into one of RSP’s most diverse and dynamic offices, with a team of 100 employees consisting 24 nationalities and 51% women, many of whom are in leadership roles. Karen is a vocal champion of building a quality workforce where everyone has the space to contribute, lead, and thrive.

Though her work often happens behind the scenes, Karen’s impact is seen and felt daily. She is the person everyone counts on, steady in a crisis, generous with her time, and unwavering in her support. Her legacy at RSP is one of trust, transformation, and heart-led leadership. Her leadership is proof that the strongest foundations are often the ones built quietly and consistently over time.

Jaison Joe

As a Director at RSP, Jaison Joe manages and oversees projects to ensure their completion follows the established quality standards and schedules, while closely coordinating with the Client and Project Team. He has a strong command of managing the design team and construction site work. Jaison carries a wealth of experience in the fields of hotels, towers, residential and institutional developments. His leadership in these projects has earned him recognition for delivering complex developments on time and within budget, while consistently exceeding client expectations.

As an Architect, his skills range from preparing concept designs to development, project management, and project delivery throughout the Middle East. Throughout his career, Jaison has honed his expertise in incorporating innovative design solutions and cutting-edge technologies into his projects, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal are never compromised while delivering high-quality results. Jaison has delivered many mixed-use and high-rise residential / office, large-scale hotels, retail, and administration buildings. He possesses robust design, documentation, and presentation skills, complemented by extensive knowledge in construction and detailing. In addition, he has a deep understanding of local regulations and construction codes, which enables him to navigate complex approval processes with ease.

His responsibilities include running projects, coordinating teams, and consultants, and serving as the primary liaison with clients. Jaison is known for his collaborative approach, maintaining strong communication between all stakeholders to foster a team-oriented environment that drives project success.

Some of Jaison’s notable projects include Dubai Hills Business Park, Deira Mall, Haven Development Masterplan, and Ellington Beach House. His commitment to innovation and quality in every project continues to make him a sought-after professional in the industry.

Aleksandra Popivoda

Fergus Donaghy brings over 30 years of expertise in engineering, with 15 years dedicated to the MENA region. As Director of Engineering – MEP at RSP, he is committed to pioneering low-energy, sustainable solutions that seamlessly integrate with architectural and structural design.

A leader in large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, Fergus has a strong track record of delivering high-performance, energy-efficient systems that enhance both functionality and environmental responsibility. With over two decades of experience across the Middle East and UK, Rula Al Jadir brings a rare balance of strategic foresight, technical expertise, and disciplined project leadership to her role as Project Director at RSP. She has led the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary developments spanning hospitality, retail, mixed-use, and cultural sectors; always with a focus on precision, performance, and client satisfaction.

Rula’s career reflects a deep understanding of every stage of the project lifecycle; from concept design and planning through execution, delivery, and commissioning. She provides strong technical leadership and has proven expertise in optimizing resources across multiple projects, ensuring effective allocation to meet objectives and deliver consistent results. Her ability to manage large, cross-functional teams, coordinate design processes, and secure regulatory and client approvals has been central to her success on major regional projects.

A skilled strategist, Rula is adept at identifying and mitigating risks such as cost overruns, schedule delays, and scope changes, ensuring projects remain on track and within agreed parameters. Her strength in developing detailed project plans, managing budgets, and analysing variances underpins her methodical and results-driven approach.

Before joining RSP, Rula directed landmark developments including Tilal Mall for Tilal LLC in UAE, The Rig Project for OPDC (PIF) in KSA, and City Tower One for H&H in UAE. Beyond her technical expertise, Rula is recognised for her calm authority and collaborative leadership. A design and planning professional with more than a decade of comprehensive experience, Joan plays a pivotal role in expanding the Dubai design studio’s creative flare toward large-scale projects and master plan developments. Currently leading a wonderful team of urban designers, master planners, architects, and technical professionals, her organized yet visionary approach to design, master planning and project ideation is heavily influenced by her years of experience as a Design Consultant and Developer.

From various design stages, focused on experiential design, Joan brings an extensive set of expertise on ventures dealing with the curation of multiple residential developments and community master plans; destination & retail developments; public realm, urban design and placemaking strategies; and mixed-use master plan developments. Her geographic scope encompasses areas in the United Arab Emirates as well as other countries such as Serbia, Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Albania, Slovakia, China, Indonesia, and the Philippines, geared towards visioning, design and master planning, design management, client relations, leadership, and project implementation.

Since joining, Raneem has made remarkable contributions to the design process of RSP’s most well known projects. Her portfolio includes the Nobu Hotel & Branded Residences, she was also part of the design competition that earned RSP the role of design architect for the Armani Hotel & Residences in Diriyah. Raneem was also an important part of the design process for flagship Huawei stores and the master planning of a stunning 550-hectare man-made island, complete with waterfront resorts, residential communities, and a world-class marina. Her versatility in both large-scale developments and refined luxury projects speaks volumes about her breadth of expertise. Raneem’s diverse expertise truly exemplifies her impact on RSP’s innovative design landscape.

A prime example of her ingenuity is her recent design for an ultra-exclusive luxury resort on a private island in Abu Dhabi, where she draws inspiration from historical castles and citadels. Luca Maccarinelli

Luca Maccarinelli is a Senior Associate at RSP, bringing over 12 years of international experience in architecture. Since leaving Italy, he has worked in Hong Kong, Berlin, Singapore, and Dubai, contributing to innovative design firms known for their creative vision and progressive architectural approaches. His expertise spans across multiple sectors, including residential, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, and retail developments, all reflecting his commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and forward-thinking solutions.

Luca’s education in Milan ignited his passion for eco-friendly and parametric architecture, a focus he has continued to develop throughout his career. He collaborated with Harvard and Dassault Systems on urban design research, which was featured in AD Mass-Customised Cities and showcased at the HK/SZ Biennale 2013. His work explores the intersection of technology, sustainability, and human-centric design, pushing boundaries to create innovative and efficient urban environments.

With a strong track record of leading high-profile projects, Luca has been instrumental in delivering award-winning designs recognized by esteemed organizations such as the World Architecture Festival (WAF), WAN, INDE, and the ICONIC Awards. With over six years of experience in the United Arab Emirates, Zoe has played a pivotal role in numerous high-profile projects, guiding them from initial conceptualization through to the Issued For Construction (IFC) stages. Her impressive body of work reflects her commitment to cultural significance and innovative design solutions. Notably, she contributed to the culturally significant Hindu Mandir cultural complex in Abu Dhabi, which has become a landmark of architectural excellence.

In addition, Zoe has been instrumental in the design and execution of the award-winning Ellington Beach House, a project that exemplifies her capability to merge luxury with functionality. She has also made significant contributions to several high-profile Expo 2020 projects, including the Al Wasl Hotel and flagship pavilions and stores for renowned clients like Huawei.

With professional experience across China, the UK, and Singapore, Meng Liang has accumulated extensive knowledge and expertise in various types of projects including master planning, urban design, and architectural design. Meng Liang approaches the future of architectural and urban development from the perspectives of culture, politics, regional economy, sustainable development, and ecological system.

Meng Liang is a Chartered Architect of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Meng Liang graduated from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Urban Design.

Melden Francia Batalla

As Project Manager for RSP, Melden oversees the project and develops expectations to ensure its completion follows the established quality standards and schedules. Melden closely coordinates with the Client and its Project Team. Melden joined RSP in 2014, bringing along her expertise in hotel design and management, to help achieve supreme quality in performance service for Clients. With an impressive career spanning over 19 years of professional practice in design conceptualization, space planning, and development for both Architectural and Interior Design projects, specializing in the Hospitality and Residential sectors.

Melden has successfully managed large-scale projects across the globe, offering creative solutions to meet client needs. Her portfolio includes projects in locations such as Geneva, Agadir, Manama, Aqaba, Muscat, Riyadh, Jeddah, the UAE, and the Philippines. Her extensive experience has fueled a passion for Interior Architecture, particularly Project Management of Design Projects.

At RSP, Melden leads award-winning projects in hospitality, commercial, and luxury residential design. She has earned recognition from repeat clients, handling high-profile projects such as the 52|42 luxury residential towers and Mulberry apartments. Her strategic programming and creative solutions have delivered exceptional, premium-quality results. Notably, Melden managed the Rove Hotel at Expo 2020, a project RSP completed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rove Hotel marked a first for Expo with its inclusion of a hotel and suites, achieving accolades like LEED Gold Accreditation and Best Hotel Design of the Year at the INDEX Awards 2022. In 2022, she also took on the role of project manager for the ultra-luxury Ellington Beach House on Palm Jumeirah.

Antonio joined RSP eight months ago, taking on the critical role of overseeing the design development and execution of projects. His diverse experience spans various sectors, including residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and large-scale developments. Fayez specializes in concept design for residential and mixed-use architecture projects.

Throughout his career, Fayez has demonstrated a passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of design. He thrives in an environment that fosters creative collaboration. His interests lean towards exploring diverse concepts and experimenting with new design tools. Some of Fayez’s key projects include – ‘Sunset’ at Creek Beach, Aldar Gardenia Bay and the award winning Ellington Beach House. A double master’s degree holder in Urban Design and Integrated Sustainable Design, Shao Yong has close to two decades of experience in master planning, urban design, and architecture. Before joining RSP in 2020, his portfolio included working with government-owned enterprises.

As the Director of RSP’s Master Planning Team, Shao Yong leads projects in our Singapore and China offices, supporting the development of RSP’s master planning business, and promoting technical excellence within the team. Shao Yong is a proponent of sustainable design, dedicating his career to designing and researching sustainable and resilient spatial environments that improve the quality of life for everyone. He champions people-friendly and socially responsible design solutions, integrating sustainable technologies and innovative urban planning strategies to create a resilient design vision.

Stephanie Brown is an Interior Architect with over 9 years of professional experience. Stephanie qualified in the UK, where she was awarded a First Class Degree in Interior Architecture. As part of award-winning Interior Design studios in the United Kingdom, her career has spanned a variety of sectors, including hospitality, F&B, high-end residential, and retail projects. Her design philosophy combines functionality with creativity, ensuring each project is tailored to the client’s needs.

She has gained invaluable knowledge and skillsets working with a range of private and commercial clients. Her hospitality experience includes working with hotel brands such as Radisson, Marriott, and IHG. Her versatility also extends to delivering high-end restaurant projects for Michelin-starred chefs. She has led projects from concept to completion, in the UK, the Middle East, and the French Riviera. Stephanie’s global experience enhances her ability to approach each project with a unique cultural understanding.

As a Senior Interior Designer for RSP, Stephanie’s most notable projects include the Karl Lagerfeld Villas in Meydan, Ellington Beach House, a 123-key high-end residential development on The Palm, luxury hotel projects in Indonesia, and a private members club in Jakarta. Her role in these projects has positioned her as a key leader in the firm.

Quck Zhong Yi

Zhong Yi believes that design, across all scales, has the power to affect human relationships. He applies this in his broad experience that includes the urban design of Jurong Gateway, Jurong Lake District, and the future vacated Paya Lebar Airbase; architectural design of award-winning houses such as the Ramp House and Envelope House; accoladed interior design of residential and commercial spaces like the restaurant Tempt; policy work such as the new guidelines for migrant worker housing; and event design, especially the National Day Parade. 

Zhong Yi graduated from Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture Paris under a government scholarship, was an adjunct lecturer at Lasalle College of the Arts, and is a registered architect with the BOA. His accolades include the SIA Design Award, BCI Asia Award, SG Good Design Award, and the inaugural SIDS 20Under45 Award.

Do Ngoc Hanh

Huynh Quoc Nhat

As an Architect and BIM specialist, Nhat brings over ten years of experience to the team, where he worked on projects in Singapore for eight years and two years in Dubai. In that time, Nhat managed and contributed to a portfolio of large-scale projects, including residential developments, hotels, hospitals, MRT stations, and commercial buildings.

Nhat is especially proficient in BIM, boasting an in-depth knowledge of BIM processes and technologies, which include creating and managing digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. His skills in BIM collaboration enhance project efficiency and accuracy, ensuring seamless integration and coordination among different disciplines.

He is also well-versed in the latest BIM software and tools, and his understanding of global building regulations further strengthens his capability to deliver compliant and innovative solutions. His depth of knowledge and hands-on experience make him an invaluable asset to RSP. Lee Mun Cheng

Lee Mun Cheng started his career at RSP in its Kuala Lumpur office in 1992, before transferring to Vietnam in 2009, where he has remained since, while at times working at the Singapore and Dubai office.

He is exceptionally well-versed in space planning, coordination with other disciplines, architectural detailing, specifications, code requirements, preparation of drawings for various stages of works for authority submission, tender and construction drawings.

Throughout his time as a Technical Manager at RSP, he boasts a wide portfolio of projects, ranging from housing developments, high-rise residential and commercial, shopping malls, retail outlets and hotel cum serviced apartments. In his work, he treats every new challenge as a new opportunity to improve technical standards for future projects. Apart from technical excellence, he highly values respecting local cultures in the little details, such as ensuring the number of steps at the main entrance promised good ‘Fengshui’, referring to the harmonisation of energy forces in the environment.

Luca Luigi Pirovano

With over a decade of international experience, Luca has demonstrated a strong command of project organization and team communication from the earliest stages of his career. Having grown up immersed in some of the world’s leading design studios, he developed a multidisciplinary, practical, and adaptable approach to architecture, ensuring projects are delivered with precision while leading teams toward shared goals.

Luca has played a key role in the successful delivery of masterplans and large-scale developments across Europe and the UAE, spanning residential, cultural, hospitality, commercial, and public sectors. His portfolio includes prominent projects such as the Emaar Creek Harbour Masterplan, Tilal Al Ghaf, and Madinat Jumeirah Living. He specializes in early-stage design, carrying client aspirations through to delivery with a strong emphasis on coordination and clarity.

He completed his master’s degree in 2015 with a thesis focused on the urban regeneration of Lisbon, exploring how to bridge historical and contemporary cityscapes through connected programmatic interventions.

After four years of practice in Italy, Luca relocated to Dubai in 2017, drawn by the region’s dynamic urban transformation.
