Mark Ong

Vice President, Strategic Development

Mark believes in a placemaking driven approach when curating spaces, with technology and innovation as a key driver for positive change. This is reflected in the initiatives Mark leads in the exploration of special projects that grow beyond the scope of architecture, with a keen interest in new ways architects can engage in business in emerging virtual and physical environments.

The mentorship of the next generation is also close to Mark’s heart, who sits as a resident judge for the Asian Young Designer Awards, an annual competition organised by Nippon Paint. Mark also contributes to NUS and SUTD studios as a guest panelist, whilst running affiliate programs to encourage students to contribute ideas to design competitions.

Mark has spent the last 8 years working on guest experience-driven works and rejuvenation of existing assets through AEI initiatives. Mark has experience in content creation and park design in Mandai Parks with both Bird and Rainforest Parks, as well as the dine-in theatre in Resorts World at Sentosa. Mark has also led the AEI works in Great World City and Bugis Junction Office tower.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Environments (Architectural Major) and a Master of Architecture from The University of Melbourne.
