RSP Hosts MoU Signing between Shanghai Green Industry Alliance and Singapore Green Construction Alliance

On 17 October 2023, RSP Architects Planners & Engineers (Pte) Ltd (RSP) hosted the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Shanghai Green Industry Alliance (上海市企业绿色发展联盟) and the Singapore Green Construction Alliance (新加坡绿色建筑发展联盟) at the RSP Singapore office.

This event holds significant importance to China-Singapore cross-trade collaboration on sustainability, and RSP’s Managing Director for RSP China, Shi Lu, who also holds the appointment of Vice Chairman, Singapore Green Construction Alliance, was Singapore’s signatory.

Li Wei, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Green Industry Alliance was the signatory for Shanghai. The MoU signing was witnessed by Mr. Kho Choon Keng, President of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Shi Dengding, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, representing Singapore and Shanghai respectively.

The MOU signifies a collaborative partnership between the two parties, poised to bring about positive developments, promote sustainability, and foster economic growth and beyond between Singapore and Shanghai.

The Shanghai Green Industry Alliance is under the guidance of the Shanghai Ecological Environment Bureau and the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, and is composed of the Shanghai Environmental Protection Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Shanghai Environmental Protection Industry Association, the Shanghai Green Industry and Industrial Development Promotion Association, and the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce. It is a non-profit alliance jointly initiated by the Economic Development Service Center and other organisations, based on the principles of social responsibility, green development, resource sharing, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Singapore Green Construction Alliance is a cooperation model of mutual collaboration and resource integration between enterprises advocating sustainability and green building. Based on the learnings from the development of the Singapore Garden City and Sino-Singapore Eco-City projects, the alliance has improved and applied the idea of ​​sustainable development to various cities in China, providing customers with comprehensive solutions for green buildings and creating a more harmonious ecological environment for society. The alliance has over 30 members, bringing together industry leaders, and is committed to building an ecological chain of close cooperation and providing one-stop services such as ecological plus smart building design, green technology, product research and development, and efficient building energy-saving smart operations.
