On 22 September 2023, RSP’s Master Planning team received a Silver Award from Singaporean Minister, Ms. Indranee Rajah, at the Singapore Institute of Planners 8th Planning Award Presentation and Gala Dinner for the Weiyuan Ecological Science and Technology Innovation City Project.
Held bi-annually, this prestigious Planning Awards recognise urban planners and consultancy firms in Singapore and beyond for their excellence in urban planning.
"Winning this award means a great deal to our dedicated master planning team at RSP, which recognize the planning philosophy and methodology we have been upholding, especially further reinforces the commitment to designing for humanity. County level urban development is one of the main battle fields of China’s rapid urbanization process, where nature, culture and future are deeply interweaved, calling for a balance among all needs and consciousness of sensitive planning and design in the northwest region of China, to foster the long term city structure yet satisfy near term economic benefit and meet the demand of quality of life. Our Weiyuan project is a testament of integrating cutting-edge ecological concept and innovative planning model with thoughtful urban design in the mountainous area."

Weiyuan Ecological Science and Technology Innovation City is located in Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, China. The project highlights the unique and unique cultural feature of Weiyuan: The birthplace of Chinese civilization.
